Hot Weather? Stay head safe!

Many of you, like me are melting in the heat. But let’s not moan, it’s summer after all!

Over last few days, many gents are flocking to the Barbers to get their thick hair off In an effort to cool down And of course we are happy to help.

There is a BUT though.....

Please remember that with shorter hair, you increase your risk of sunburn on your scalp. make sure you apply a strong factor sunscreen. Your scalp isn’t used to being exposed (generally).

Also remember that the shorter your hair, the more need for a hat!

it pains me to see fantastic haircuts covered up, but please keep the sun off of your head and avoid getting sun stroke. Heat exposure illnesses are not fun. Trust me, I’ve been to the desert!

Finally, we all like to stay cool by either wetting our heads or being in a pool etc, please stay cool, but do at least towel dry your hair after. Water evaporates which requires it turning to vapour, which requires heat. The heat from your head plus the suns heat can on occasion cause minor heat injury so please be safe.

Stay hydrated with water, and stay in the shade if possible.

Remember that tans look cool, but sunburn looks stupid!

At the end of the day, apply after sun and continue to drink water.
