The Cr*p tool challenge!

I‘m Gonna try something different,

just for a laugh. Why not?

So here it is, I’m laying the gauntlet down; The Crap Tool Challenge.

It’s pretty much a given that when you come to the Barbers, we use professional grade tools and products to achieve the results that we do, but I remembered the old adage “a bad workman always blames his tools”.

So, can it be done? Can I produce a top quality hairstyle with less than adequate tools?! Said cr*p tools will replace my pro grade tools.

Here‘s what i need from you, dear readers....

Firstly, I’ll need donations of crap tools. Could be scissors (any kind) combs, brushes, old clippers or beard trimmers, razors or anything else you can think of. I really want to push the envelope.

Secondly, I need willing volunteers (models) to do said haircut on.

the haircut will be free of course, and should the tools fail, you’ll still leave with a finished good haircut. It may just take some time.

The format will be a Vlog on my YouTube channel, BarberMarpsBlades, so jump on there and subscribe if you haven’t already.

The way it will hopefully run will be

1. Review said Crap tool Outlining the challenges etc.

2. Modify/repair said tool as necessary in order to make it perform.

3. Carry out the haircut in real time, commentating and reviewing on the hoof.

4. Summarise.

I intend to make a series, keeping a maximum of two tools per video.
